Reddit Intelligence: the Reddit threads AI cites about your brand

AI models lean heavily on Reddit when answering questions, especially for comparisons, recommendations, and real-user opinions. Reddit Intelligence shows you exactly which Reddit threads are being cited in AI answers to your tracked prompts, so you know where the conversation about your category is happening and whether it helps or hurts you.

With Reddit Intelligence, you can:

  • See exactly which Reddit threads and subreddits AI models cite when answering about your category
  • Identify the authors and conversations shaping what AI says about your brand
  • Read the sentiment of each cited thread to know whether it helps or hurts you
  • Find high-influence threads worth engaging in to change what AI recommends
  • Claim the subreddits and accounts your team runs, and see how much of your Reddit presence comes from your own activity

Find it under Prompt Insights > Reddit Intelligence in the sidebar. Available on Growth plans and above.

What it does

  • Tracks every Reddit URL that AI models cite when answering your prompts
  • KPI strip: total Reddit citations, unique subreddits, unique authors, and % positive sentiment
  • Citations-over-time chart, stacked by the sentiment of the citing AI answer (positive, neutral, negative)
  • Donut charts for sentiment and for the AI-model breakdown
  • Top subreddits table: citations, unique authors, and sentiment split per community. Click a subreddit to filter the whole page to it.
  • Top authors table: the Reddit users whose posts get cited most, with the subreddits they post in and their sentiment leaning
  • Top threads table: the exact threads AI models cite, with citation count, average citation position, upvotes, comments, and sentiment. Titles link out to the real thread on reddit.com.

Your own subreddits and accounts

If your team runs its own subreddit or posts from brand accounts, you can claim them and see how much of your Reddit presence in AI answers comes from your own activity.

Claim them in Preferences > Project Settings > Owned Media, in the Reddit row: "Your subreddits" (up to 10) and "Your Reddit accounts" (up to 25). Each field takes r/name, u/name, a bare name, or a pasted reddit.com URL. The Configure owned accounts button at the top right of Reddit Intelligence links straight there.

Once something is claimed, the page adds:

  • An All / Yours toggle in the filter bar that scopes everything: KPIs, charts, and all three tables
  • A Your Reddit citations KPI with the count and its share of all Reddit citations
  • A blue (You) badge on your subreddits in Top subreddits, your accounts in Top authors, and both columns in Top threads
  • A You column in the CSV and Excel exports of all three tables

A citation counts as yours when the post sits in a subreddit you claimed or was written by an account you claimed. The subreddit is read from the URL, so it matches right away; the author comes from the post itself, so a thread we have not fetched yet only matches by subreddit until then.

The Reddit row on the Owned Media Overview links here with the Yours scope already applied.

How to use it

  1. Open Prompt Insights > Reddit Intelligence
  2. Use the filters to scope the view: period, brand or competitor, subreddit, AI model, country, language, and tag
  3. Start with Top subreddits to find the communities that influence AI answers in your category
  4. Drill into Top threads to read the conversations being cited; these are the highest-leverage places to engage
  5. Export any table to CSV or Excel with the buttons above it

Tips & notes

  • Sentiment reflects the AI answer that cited the thread, not the Reddit content itself. A negative label means AI models say something negative when citing that thread.
  • The brand filter scopes citations to AI answers that mention the selected brand, which is useful for checking which threads power a competitor's presence.
  • Data covers Reddit posts cited by AI models in your tracked prompts. Proactive Reddit listening beyond AI citations is a planned follow-up.
  • When engaging in cited threads, add genuine value. Helpful, factual replies age well and keep being cited; promotional replies get downvoted and removed.
