What the ranking measures

The public study is available at Top Spanish News Outlets. It ranks a curated list of Spain-based media domains by answer reach in AI answers.

Answer reach is the percentage of eligible citation-bearing AI answers served in Spain that cite an outlet domain at least once. Every answer in the denominator is a successful execution from an active non-brand prompt and has at least one non-client source assigned to Spain. The media list includes national and regional publishers, broadcasters, business outlets, sports, technology, health, lifestyle and service journalism. A private breadth threshold requires coverage across several separately tracked brands, which helps prevent one brand's question set from dominating the results.

This measures citation behavior in the LLM Pulse sample. It does not measure audience popularity, market share, trust, content quality or editorial value. It is not a recommendation.

Use the model filter

Switch between ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. The aggregate view may include every stored eligible model, so it is not restricted to those five.

How to read the percentage

An outlet at 2% was cited in approximately two out of every 100 eligible citation-bearing answers during the current window. Several outlets can appear in one answer, so percentages do not add up to 100%.

Method and limits

The live window covers the latest seven days and refreshes daily. Results change as prompts, models, answer formats and citations change. Tracked questions are selected by brands, so the sample leans toward commercial topics. This is not a complete measurement of every Spanish media source or every AI response.
