How to change a project domain

Each LLM Pulse project tracks one brand and one owned domain. Change the domain when your website moves to a different domain or subdomain. This does not add a second owned website to the same project.

Change the domain

  1. Open Project Settings.
  2. Stay on the General tab.
  3. Find URL and select Change domain.
  4. Enter the new domain or subdomain.
  5. Choose whether to keep the old domain as a competitor.
  6. Review the warning and select Change domain.

Only the account owner can make this change. A project's domain can be changed once every 7 days. The page shows the exact date when another change becomes available.

What happens after the change

  • The new domain becomes the project's owned domain.
  • Past citations are reprocessed against the new domain.
  • The old domain stops counting as owned.
  • The project's brand settings and prompts remain unchanged.
  • Citation metrics may change and may be temporarily unavailable during processing.

If you keep the old domain as a competitor, its citations remain available in competitor views. It does not receive brand mentions and it does not give the project two owned domains.

If the new address is a specific subdomain, enable Match exact subdomain only in Project Settings when only that host should count as owned.

After a website migration

Redirect each old URL to its equivalent URL on the new domain. Keep the redirects active while users and search engines move to the new site.
