Why does Google AI Overviews show “No results”?
We show Google AI Overview as “no results” for some prompts because Google decides on a case-by-case basis whether to display it. It’s completely normal for AI Overviews to appear inconsistently across different days. This isn’t something to worry about, and we have no way to control when it appears.
You can confirm this by searching the same prompt on different browsers or devices. You may see the AI Overview appear on some but not on others.
How this shows up per AI model
LLM Pulse breaks results down for every AI model you track, so Google AI Overviews has its own dedicated view alongside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode. When Google does not render an AI Overview for a prompt, that single model view shows “no results” while the other models still report normally.
This is why a prompt can look empty under Google AI Overviews but perfectly healthy everywhere else. A blank Overview for one prompt does not affect your visibility in the other models you track.
