Optional rules for turning Markdown-heavy copy into plainer text.
These rules can change emoji, multilingual text, or typography. Use them only when needed and review the result.
Fixed rules, no rewriting
Text can look normal while carrying characters you cannot see. Copying from chat apps, PDFs, rich-text editors, or websites can introduce unusual spaces, invisible controls, and Markdown markers. These artifacts can affect wrapping, search, validation, and exact text matching. This cleaner applies only the rules you select and reports what changed.
This is a formatting cleaner, not an AI detector or authorship verifier. It cannot guarantee detector results or reliably remove model-level text watermarks. It also does not inspect metadata in documents, images, or other files.
Use it to fix formatting, not to conceal authorship or bypass disclosure requirements.
Latest Claude transparency update
Claude responses often use headings, bold emphasis, lists, smart punctuation, and rich-text spacing. These can behave differently after pasting into a CMS, email, document, or form. This cleaner applies fixed formatting rules locally and lets you review every change.
Anthropic's August 2026 guidance says Claude models launched in the EU on or after August 2 support machine-readable marking at launch. Supported text carries model-level embedded watermarks, while supported files receive signed provenance metadata. Earlier Claude models are still in transition, and public detection details are forthcoming.
What the cleaner can see
The cleaner tidies recognized Unicode and formatting artifacts. It does not inspect file metadata or promise to erase Claude's model-level provenance marks.
